NOOMMED is a small, independent astronomy publication. To help keep the lights on (and the newsletter free), some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
What that means in plain English
- We only recommend gear, books, and tools we would happily suggest to a friend standing next to us in a dark field.
- A commission never changes what we recommend, how we rank options, or what we say about them.
- If we have not used something ourselves, we say so, and we lean on the guidance of trusted sources (astronomy clubs, established reviewers, and manufacturer specs).
- The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or type the URL directly.
Programs we participate in
NOOMMED is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
We also participate in affiliate programs run by specialty astronomy and outdoor retailers, including (as they are added) High Point Scientific, Astronomics, OPT Telescopes, and select regional dark-sky partners. Any post that contains affiliate links will be clearly labeled at the top.
Sponsored content and gifted items
If we ever publish a sponsored post or review a product that was sent to us for free, we will disclose that clearly and separately at the top of the post. Sponsorship never buys a positive review, and we retain full editorial control over anything published on NOOMMED.
